UPCOMING EVENT: Camp Eagle Weekend Retreat

Our upcoming big event is a trip to Camp Eagle in Rocksprings, Texas. We will be leaving Friday afternoon, on April 11th, and returning on that Sunday, April 13th. We will be doing group bonding/trust activities, bible studies, nature adventures, as well as some much needed down time/free time. No cell phones, no facebook, no twitter, no instagram, no technology! Teens and adult leaders just spending time face to face. What a blessing this time will be for everyone involved. We are still taking registrants. Contact me if you are interested in joining us.

vision.youth basketball team: NO LIMIT

Our team, No Limit, competed last weekend in a hill country tournament put on by the team Future. We took 1st place out of all the competing JV teams and stole 3rd place overall (Varsity Tournament). I am so proud of the way the guys played.

Our team is sponsored by Fitch Estate Sales and vision.youth. They helped us to buy the good looking uniforms that you will see in the photos. We cant wait to wreck shop in the upcoming tournaments. Keeping checking back for more updates. We will be headed to compete in a Georgetown Tournament next weekend!

vision.youth basketball team

vision.youth now has a basketball team that has already started competing. We will be playing in local and distant competitions. This coming weekend we play at Tivy High School. We have been working this week to raise money for tourney costs, hotel fees, travel expenses and uniform costs. We spend four hours yesterday baking good to sell today. Today we set up at Hastings parking lot to sell a variety of cookies, brownies, rice crispy treats, and snow cones. We are well on our way to financially supporting the team....but donations are always appreciated. Above are some photos of the team baking yesterday and selling today.

Big Brother/Big Sister Bowl-a-thon

vision.youth brought a bowling team to participate in Big Brother/Big Sister Bowl-a-thon. We had a great time. We had around five kids represent us during the two hour time slot. Coach and I also bowled with the kids. They supplied sodas and pizza with a safari theme.

Celebrity Basketball with Melvin Adams

Melvin Adams was in KTown once again. We had a great time. He not only did a Celebrity Basketball Game at Tivy High School, but visited the local Elementary Schools to speak with the students about decisions and their future.
